Every GAUDLY moment carries a measured frequency line — not as decoration, as the floor the rest of the record stands on. The five bands below are the vocabulary. The catalog is what we do with them.
The bands
Stated, not illustrated. A colour for each band would turn a measured thing into a motif — and motifs are what this system refuses.
Delta
Deep sleep and physical restoration. The floor of the catalog — moments that ask the body to stop.
Theta
The open gate. Subconscious access, the window subliminals are written for, the state just before sleep.
Alpha
Calm attention. Eyes closed, still present. The band most moments land in when they are not asking for deep work or deep sleep.
Beta
Active focus. Concentration, decisive motion. Used sparingly — a catalog of beta is a catalog of noise.
Gamma
Binding and peak coherence. Rare in the catalog; present when a moment needs the top of the range.
How a moment carries a band
Binaural beats
Two slightly different tones, one in each ear. The brain hears the difference as a pulse at the target frequency. Requires headphones.
Isochronic tones
A single tone pulsed on and off at the target rate. Works over speakers. Cleaner for some listeners, harsher for others.
Carrier beds
A continuous tone — solfeggio or otherwise — that the voice and subliminal layers sit inside. The floor the rest of the moment stands on.
